Small school supplies store is a great business ideaThere are lots of hard-earned ways on how to put up a business. Some delve into franchising, while others shell out a huge amount of money to rent their own place and buy all things needed for the business. Not to mention the marketing style. But if you are just a regular Joe, who earns a modest amount as an employee, would this mean that putting up a business is already out of your league?

Not necessarily so.

In fact, there are lots of innovative ways to put up a business without renting a place (in this day and age, renting a place takes a lot of cash), and without too much marketing (yes it’s still needed, how else would anyone know that you decided to put up your own business?).

Here are just a few businesd ideas that doesnt require too much money (between 5K-10K only, in fact) and too much planning.

A sari-sari store. What else? As long as you have a small place in your home that needs a little bit of cleaning, then putting up such a business is a breeze. All you need to do now is to buy all the stuff that you need, and voila! You have an instant sari-sari store. You dont even have to put up your own sign, as long as everyone who passes by takes notice of all the stocked goods in your place.

A tutoring center. Just like a sari-sari store, you dont have to rent a place for this. A vacant room in your house will do. And Im sure you also have stocks of books (from elementary to college) in your house that you can use. The only thing that you need to invest here is a couple of chairs and tables for your tutoring center. Plus, marketing is very important. But in this age of technology and computers, you can have all the marketing you need in just one click. You can also post your ads in newspapers, free of charge.

Small sari sari store like is a good source of extra incomeA cellphone load business. Its high time you use your phone to good use. Your phone doesnt have to be of the latest model it could just even be the phone that you threw away because the numbers seem to vanish, or the phone that you got tired of because it took a long while for your message to be sent. And then just buy a special sim card for the phone loading business. Put up a card outside your home to announce your business and there you have it hard-earned money right at your very home.

Cake and pastry business. For those who love to bake, bake, and bake, this is the job for you. The ingredients dont cost much, and the only marketing style you have to do is to have your family and friends taste the one-of-a-kind cake that you created. The business works through word-of-mouth. By the end of the day, Im sure you will have your orders filled.

A small school supplies store. Just like a sari-sari store, you just need to clean up a small place in your house, buy all the school supplies that you need and put up a sign on your gate to advertise you new business. Or better yet, go around your neighborhood and put up the sign near a school, a church or the marketplace. Im sure, youll have students trooping to your store before the end of the day.

So there you have it. Putting up a business is not that difficult as long as you have the resources, the means and the will to put up with the setbacks. And always remember that when choosing a business, dont think about the money. Think about a business that will gladly satisfy your heart.

I’m very much agreed to these business ideas, sabi nga nila “lahat ng malaki ay nagsimula sa maliit” so I’m also encouraging other Pinoy kababayan that putting up a business is not that really needing big capital to start, ang kailangan lang ay sipag, determination, tiyaga, at siyempre samahan ng pananalig sa Diyos.

Thanks Excel for your Business Tips.

What you need to be successful in business is S.T.D.

    Sipag
    Tyaga
    Direksiyon

Ang magbobote at magbabalot, pati na ang magtataho, lahat sila masipag at matyaga. but none of them became successful. although they were able to survive in everyday living, they still dont have the extra money to be kept for emergency purposes. what they lack is the direction. if you will put together SIPAG, TYAGA, at DIRECTION, then you will have your success in lesser time.

think about it. baka maling direksiyon ang pinatutunguhan natin kaya kahit na anung gawin nating sipat at tyaga, wala tayong nararating.

i am a government servant for the past 4 years. i also work for more than 4 years at private company. and yet i still dont have the right to say i am capable of spending my extra money for luxurious purpose. but just last november 5, 2008, i invested a little amount of my savings, gave a little amount of my effort and time, and now i am earning extra income.

and now i am proud to say that i finally found the right direction i’ve been searching for.

    Dear Excel,

    Good day…

Many thanks for the insightful and delightful message you have shared to us it’s inspired so much, I’m Renato presently working here Qatar, i came from Hilongos, Leyte. I would like to seek an advice from your side on how to put up a good business that fits in our barangay, our equivalent population is only 3500. One of our main livelihood in our small village is rice farming and coconut i mean copra. Last December 2008 i went home for a holiday off on my work here in Qatar. I notice that several of our neighboor has been putting up of sari-sari store and putting up also small number of pigs. Rice mill is quite very expensive and i think i can’t afford to put up that kind of business co’z i still have lot of things to do for my family… I just want to start in small capital only and worthy business.

I just hoping you can find sometimes to answer on my question.

Thanks in advance..and more power..God bless

Thanks for trying to help with your suggestion. But I think the business you suggested will not help our countrymen in general. How about a business that will turn waste into something or turn nothing into something as in agriculture business.

Thanks in advance..

    hi,
I liked ur business ideas, its so practical and encouraging, but what if u dont have an extra cash to invest?does that mean u cant earn from a business venture?or is there really such a thing as “laway lng ang puhunan”? we also have lots of stuff inside the house that we want to dispose off to a junkshop, only that we just dnt know which among these junks are saleable, could u pls write an article on what are the things we could sell to a junkshop aside from papers and old steel and up to how much we can practically negotiate to sell it. Thanks in advance..
    ———————————————————-
mga bagay n pwede ibenta sa junkshop:
    1. Bote (maliit o malaki)pati ung case binibili
    2. Plastic (makapal o manipis) basag man o buo, galon, plangana, o arinola.
    3. Tanso (mahal ang kilo nyan)
    4. Karton (kauri ng papel pero mas mahal)
    5. Mga yerong kalawangin, isama mo n pati mga pakong baluktot.
    6. Aluminom

Yema, Polvoro or lugawan is a great start.
Just give your best shoot and always put a twist
in your business. Like pakaging, taste or uniqueness to
other products or to your competitors. In this way you can attract customers or even retailers. You must just have curiosity and creativity in this part. Sample why not you put some buko on your polvoron ( buko flavor ), or put some cheese on your yema (yema w/cheese). Try to explore your creativity use your creative mind. Is it a best idea?

I can modestly say that I able to save some of my hard earned money with a little discipline and wants to have ideas on how to use this money I saved . If you can give me ideas aside from the things that was already published please feel free to email me at jephlox@yahoo.com . Also I am fascinated to some businessman saying that money is working for them and not them working for money , that really sounds good but how to achieve that status is really what I want to know

And Im planning to build a small business na kaya din i handle ng nanay or tatay ko kasi may work din ako.

I remember one Chinese friend of mine, once said; that all forms of business require 100%, it is either 20% capital and 80% work or vice versa, so I am opting for the later in terms of capital, do you have any idea that focuses on services or manufacturing in a small scale with an export demand?

    Secrets of Successful Entrepreneurs
How do you know whether you can be a successful entrepreneur, or if you are better off as a salaried employee? While there is no surefire formula for success, studies have shown that successful entrepreneurs share these ten characteristics. Check if you possess any one of them.

  102. 102
Rex Marco P. Roble Said: @9:59 am

Faith. No one said that the road to success is easy. Despite your good intentions and hard work, sometimes you will fail. Some successful entrepreneurs suffered setbacks and resounding defeats, even bankruptcy, yet managed to quickly stand up to make it big in their fields. Your courage to persist in the face of adversity and ability to bounce back after a temporary disappointment will assure your success.

Willingness to Learn. You do not need to be a MBA degree holder or PhD graduate to succeed in your own business.
