RED RIBBON BOOSTS EXPANSION PLAN

Red Ribbon, one of the leading bakeshop in the country seems to be in an expansion mode these days. In the recent re-launching in Megamall, the Red Ribbon officials bares their more aggresive marketing strategy and a new corporate logo.

“We want people to see a lot of changes in us with more exciting programs to offer to our loyal patrons,” said Jessica Abaya, marketing head of Red Ribbon.

Includied in the plan is the opening of more outlets here and abroad especially in the US. Renovation of the stores was also sighted. But the most ambitious plan is the opening of the Cake by Design Centers (CBDC’s), where customers can pick from over 200 designs their personal choice of cakes and trimmings, the first of its kind in the country.

The CBDC’s will be equipped with technological advanced equipment like computers and LCD screens where the electronic catalogues can be viewed. The LCD screens will showcase the designs specific to the occasion or need of customers. Changes in color or even cake toppings can be done in a snap of a finger. “This way, we can make decision-making faster. Orders can be sent through email allowing DCD manufacturing to see all the details clearly,” said Abaya.

In 2005, Red Ribbon was acquired by Jolibee Foods Corp. Red Ribbon officials have high hopes in their aim to be the country’s number one and most admired bakeshop with these new plans.
